Graduation Class of 2017
Dear Monte Tavor families,
Each year, our Dance Event in July marks the end of festivities with families for that school year. Together, older preschoolers and the graduating class put together dances choreographed with the help of Liz Howell, one of our providers. This event helps alleviate the sadness that stems from saying good bye to those who are soon leaving our program and lifts up the spirits of all children, families, teachers and providers, who will be celebrating together for the last time.
The majority of our families begin our program when their children are infants and graduate by the time their children are 5 or almost 6 years old. These children consider Monte Tavor their second home and comfort zone. The amount of hours, days, months, and years that pass by, connect us with these children on a level beyond explanation. They very much become the everyday life at Monte Tavor for teachers and providers day in and day out. The countless moments with smiles, laughs, cries, tantrums, and misbehavior will all be remembered and even missed; especially the memorable moments that made those that happened to be walking by do double-takes. The fading of memories once these children and families do not return or keep in touch are part of a transition of life for the Monte Tavor providers. But not all families depart forever, some families enroll their second or even third child to our program. Others send cards during holidays, or pay us surprise visits from time to time. In any case, every single family in our community is a very special part of Monte Tavor, and has helped shape who we are today.
We hope that this Saturday's Dance Event will not only mark the end of festivities for this school year, but will spark inspiration for the beginning of next school year. We wish families and their children the best in all their future endeavors and we hope that the moments they experienced at Monte Tavor were pleasant ones.
Special thanks to Glenda and Ariana for another successful year helping prepare the graduating class of 2017. We could not have done it without all of their effort, hard work and dedication.
Congratulations to the class of 2017!! Muchas felicidades!!
